Three women from Rochester, New York, attempted to skip out on a $262.11 bill at Soul Vibez, a trendy Chicago restaurant, but their plan unraveled due to two significant errors. The incident occurred during a birthday celebration where the women enjoyed chicken wings, alfredo pasta, and drinks before leaving without paying.

The first mistake they made was providing their real names and phone numbers when adding themselves to the restaurant's waitlist. This information was crucial for the Chicago police, who are now actively investigating the incident. The second blunder was boasting about their dine-and-dash escapade on social media, even tagging Soul Vibez in posts thanking them for the "free food."

The restaurant's owner shared surveillance footage on Instagram, calling out the women for their actions. The footage showed the women leaving the restaurant one by one within 30 seconds of their server stepping away from the table. The owner criticized the women for their "disgraceful" act, highlighting the impact on both the business and the staff.

In a follow-up post, the owner shared that the women had been identified and tagged them in the post.

"Dining and dashing on your birthday is NASTY work! Go back to Rochester, NY with that we don’t do that in Chicago!!! You’re caught! Not only are one of you a chef and business owner yourself so you should know better!"

The police are investigating the incident, and the women could face a $2,500 fine and up to a year in jail.
