Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts was named to TIME's annual list of the world's most influential people on Wednesday (April 16).

Hurts, 26, was one of six athletes chosen for the 2025 list, joining tennis legend and entrepreneur Serena Williams, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, Olympic swimmer Léon Marchand and WNBA stars and Unrivaled league co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

"An icon and on the @TIME list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2025. That's Jalen Hurts," the Eagles wrote on their X account, along with a photo of Hurts taken for the TIME 100 list.

Hurts threw for 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on 17 of 22 passing, while also recording 72 yards and one touchdown on 11 rushing attempts to be named Super Bowl LIX MVP during the Eagles' win against the Kansas City Chiefs in February. The two-time Pro Bowler scored on a one-yard run in the first quarter to give Philadelphia a 7-0 lead, which they extended to 24-0 at halftime and 34-0 deep into the third quarter.

The Eagles are now two-time Super Bowl champions, having won Super Bowl LII in 2018 and made five appearances, which included a loss to the Chiefs two years prior in Super Bowl LVII.
