Two people tragically died after falling 380 feet from a viewing area at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. The incident occurred late Monday (April 28) or early Tuesday (April 29), with tourists discovering the bodies below Inspiration Point. According to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, the individuals had crossed safety railings before the fall.
Garfield County Search and Rescue crews were dispatched to the area to recover the bodies. They were aided by Park Rangers and a helicopter crew from the Utah Department of Public Safety.
The identities of the deceased hikers remain undisclosed as authorities notify their families.
The deceased were reportedly living in a U-Haul rental vehicle and had recently resided in Florida. Park rangers, search and rescue teams, and a helicopter crew collaborated to recover the bodies. Bryce Canyon, known for its colorful spires, cliffs, and ravines, attracts over two million visitors annually.
